Frequently Asked Questions.
Q. What methods of payment do you offer.
A. We can accept all credit and debit cards (except American Express), personal cheques, and postal orders.
Q. I dont like entering my Credit or debit card details online. Can i call you to make a payment over the phone?
A. Yes you can. We have full card facilities at our shop. Just ring us on 01302 328811 with the card details.
Q. Are you a real shop?
A. Yes we are. We are a high street shop operating from the same location in Doncaster, S. Yorkshire for over 7 years.
Q. What are your shop opening hours?
A. We are open from 9.30am until 5.30 daily, Monday to Saturday inclusive. We are closed Sundays.
Q. Do you offer Guitar Lessons?
A. Yes we do. We can give you a guitar or bass guitar lesson anytime during shop hours. Ring us on 01302 328811 or email us on steelcityguitars@googlemail.com for more information.
Q. Can i park at your shop?
A. There is parking on the street (meter controlled) and several car parks within easy walking distance.
Q. Is the guitar shown on your web-site the same guitar that i would purchase?
A. Yes it is. All the pictures of the guitars for sale, are of the actual instrument we are offering. We do not use library pictures unless otherwise stated on the listing.
Q. I have specific set-up needs, so can you set-up my new guitar the way i want it.
A. Of course we can. If you have any special requests. i.e. string guage, action etc. just let us know and we will set-up your new guitar to suit you. This may delay delivery by a day as this does take a bit of time to complete. There is no extra charge for this service.
Q. How fast do you deliver?
A. We aim to post an item out either the same day or the next day at the latest. If there is a problem we will let you know. Please be aware however, that every guitar is fully set-up before delivery and that sometimes causes a little delay.
Q. How do you deliver my item?
A. We use either the Post Office, for smaller items, or DHL couriers for larger purchases. Dhl is an overnight next day courier service.
Q. Do you offer a full set-up and repair service?
A. Yes we do, and usually the same day.
Q. Do you stock starter packs?
A. Yes we do. We have many different packs to offer you, and of course, we can put together a pack especially for you, with whatever guitar and amplifier you require. If you are fairly local to us, we also offer a FREE guitar lesson with each pack purchased.
Q. If the item i require is not on your site, can you get it for me?
A. Yes we can. If there is anything that you want, that we do not show on the site, please ring us on 01302 328811 and we will try our best to get it in for you.
Q. Do you ship abroad?
A. Yes we do. However there is a charge for shipping overseas, so please contact us for a quote before you place an order on our site.
