The Guitar Shop is a well established high street store situated in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, not just another web-site working from a garden shed or garage, and has been in the same premises for over seven years.
The Guitar Shop Web-Site is the result of a collaboration between Steel City Guitars and Back Street Guitars. Unfortunately Steel City Guitars is no more, but we decided to keep the Steel City Guitars name alive on the web-site.
We stock an ever changing range of Guitars, Amplifiers and Effects, and try to keep the Web-Site up to date and current.
We do not use stock photos, every picture of a guitar for sale has the pictures of that actual guitar on the web-site. This means that you can see exactly what the guitar is like, before you purchase it.
We offer a full in-house set-up and repair service, with fast turnaround, and guaranteed workmanship. Usually if you bring your guitar to us before 11am, we can complete the setup the same day.
Andy Sharpe, who has been with us from the start, and does most of the set-ups and repairs has completed a two year college course in Electric Guitar Making, and is a guitar fanatic with over 20 guitars of his own! We get superb reports back on his set-ups and repairs.
We all have lots of experience as gigging musicians, and so we pride ourselves on being able to offer friendly advice and customer care, and many, many of our customers become regular visitors to our shop.

Every Guitar that we offer for sale, has been through our workshop, has had a full setup and service including new strings. You can be sure that if you purchase a guitar from us, that is will play as it should.
